Jerry Ann Farr Reid died peacefully on August 8, 2017 at Seven Acres Jewish Care after a long struggle with dementia. The daughter of Robert Emmett Farr and Anna Mae Oden, Jerry was born in Edwards, Mississippi on March 17, 1927 and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Central High School and Millsaps College in Jackson, and later married Colvin Reid, who predeceased her.

Jerry is survived by their sons Michael Alan Reid and Steven Ward Reid and granddaughter Whitney Rae Reid. Other survivors include brothers-in-law Robert V. Haynes and...

Jerry Ann Farr Reid died peacefully on August 8, 2017 at Seven Acres Jewish Care after a long struggle with dementia. The daughter of Robert Emmett Farr and Anna Mae Oden, Jerry was born in Edwards, Mississippi on March 17, 1927 and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Central High School and Millsaps College in Jackson, and later married Colvin Reid, who predeceased her.

Jerry is survived by their sons Michael Alan Reid and Steven Ward Reid and granddaughter Whitney Rae Reid. Other survivors include brothers-in-law Robert V. Haynes and Robert Reid and sisters-in-law Catherine Reid Watt and Verna Mae Reid Kelly, nieces Ginger Morris Caughman, Alice Reid Ritter, Catherine and Carolyn Haynes, nephews Charles Haynes, Sydney Watt, Fred Kelly, James Polk Morris, Dan Morris, Fred Kelly, Jr. and Mary Catherine Kelly Joyner and Scott Reid; and cousins John Oden, Carrie Oden Marz and Marilyn Oden Kessler. Her passions were garden-clubbing, the Astros and church work.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her honor to Seven Acres, St. Paul Church, Alzheimer's Association, High School of Performing and Visual Arts, Jewish Community Center's Meals on Wheels program, Caring Kind or the charity of your choice. .Memorial service to be on Saturday, August 12 at 2:30 pm at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 7200 Bellaire Blvd.
